A New Addition

After five solid years of solid, reliable performance, the WASA Industries™ Workhorse has finally given up the ghost. Arriving today is the newest addition to the WASA stables, a brand-spankin’ new G5 iMac. We opted not to go for the Intel option just to let the bugs shake out over a couple rounds, and there wasn’t a real need to fork out so much scratch for a new PowerPC G5 or laptop, as I already have access to one of those if the need was ever that pressing. The important thing here though, is that while I’ve now joined the 21st Century, Much Respect must be given to the wee 450mhz G4 that sustained my little family for the last 5 years…
Well, even though the new one is sitting and waiting at home for me, it’s still going to be a while before I can get to the process of unpacking. There’s a clinic down at REI tonight about prepping for Mount Rainier I want to attend and see if there’s any tidbits of useable info floating around. Mostly I just want to get juiced up for the trip, which is tentatively planned for mid-July…
Of course, just to keep things in perspective – a real new addition from a few days back. Congrats, Sweeting family…

Congratulations on the newest addition to the family! I won’t be able to join you tonight, so take good notes. By the way, I went out with the Scouts yesterday and walked from Gas Works Park to Woodinville. I am a hurtin’ unit! Love, FarBrian Sweeting Says:
Hey, babies are great, but new Mac hardware is pretty far up on the list too. Congratulations!
