*Yet Another Project To Get Behind On.
Yeah, I’m a sucker for these kinds of gigs – the kind that I take on in a moment of inspiration and passion and interest that I’m positive will last forever – and then it just sits around for months and months, etc…
Any way – The Armchair Mountaineer is the latest of these side projects of mine where the two worlds of climbing and design can cross over from time to time. Still in its templatized infancy, I honestly am looking forward to letting this mature and flesh itself out over the next few months. I have a lot of content and post material back-logged and ready to go, so there really are no excuses this time.

In Town
Working up in Seattle today and tomorrow. Celebrated nine years with Amy last night – good times. We kept is simple – but I’m feeling extremely grateful for a woman like Amy at my side. We have some real adventures coming up in the next month or two – but in the meantime –

Catching Up
Dang it.
I keep forgetting about this thing and what I should be doing here. I’ve had this site since the late 90’s but I have yet to really do anything substantial with it… It started out as a blog before there were blogs – (see http://www.untickalock.com/vintage/v05/frame_this.html) but I really just need to get things pulled together and do this right.
Starting tomorrow.

A New Addition

After five solid years of solid, reliable performance, the WASA Industries™ Workhorse has finally given up the ghost. Arriving today is the newest addition to the WASA stables, a brand-spankin’ new G5 iMac. We opted not to go for the Intel option just to let the bugs shake out over a couple rounds, and there wasn’t a real need to fork out so much scratch for a new PowerPC G5 or laptop, as I already have access to one of those if the need was ever that pressing. The important thing here though, is that while I’ve now joined the 21st Century, Much Respect must be given to the wee 450mhz G4 that sustained my little family for the last 5 years…
Well, even though the new one is sitting and waiting at home for me, it’s still going to be a while before I can get to the process of unpacking. There’s a clinic down at REI tonight about prepping for Mount Rainier I want to attend and see if there’s any tidbits of useable info floating around. Mostly I just want to get juiced up for the trip, which is tentatively planned for mid-July…
Of course, just to keep things in perspective – a real new addition from a few days back. Congrats, Sweeting family…
